Having a background in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Farming has given me a variety of perspectives with which to view the outdoors. No matter what lens you view it through though, nature has a powerful effect on everyday life. It is harnessing that power which makes Landscape Architecture such a useful profession, not to mention an interesting one. I enjoy the challenge of finding the most beneficial use of a space and making it an enjoyable experience for all users.
Attending the University of Arizona for undergrad (Architecture) and the University of Oregon for grad school (Architecture & Landscape Architecture) showed me a range of climates and how they are used and enjoyed. I strive to bring these experiences back to San Diego to enhance our local outdoor experiences.
