San Diego Green Building Council Sustainability Award

On September 21, 2018 Silvergate Assisted Living in Rancho Bernardo received the 2018 Zero Net Water Citation Award from the San Diego Green Building Council. The project utilizes a gray water system, capturing building water (washers, showers, kitchen, cooling systems), treating it on-site, and then reusing the water for site irrigation.

The vision for the Sustainable Design Awards is to advocate for sustainable projects in San Diego. The judging criteria is based upon meeting the intent of the submitted category, exhibiting a transformation in the built environment and exemplifying innovation, creativity and good design.
