Community Enjoys Miles of Car-Free Streets in Downtown San Diego
On October 29, 2017, he community experienced what Downtown San Diego looks like with cycle tracks. CicloSDias San Diego opened up the streets for people to have a car-free care-free time to walk, ride bikes, roll on skateboards, scooters, and roller skates.
People with all non-motorized transportation types explored a 3-mile route in the Downtown neighborhoods of Little Italy, The Gaslamp Quarter, East Village and Barrio Logan. KTUA and the San Diego Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals demonstrated a cycle track on J Street between 11th & Park Blvd.
