What’s Out There Weekend – San Diego

Explore San Diego’s unique landscape legacy during What’s Out There® Weekend San Diego, October 26-27, 2019. Register now for FREE, expert-led tours of dozens of sites, including gardens, campuses, plazas, public parks, and cultural institutions.

These FREE tours enable people to discover the relevance and design history of places they see every day but often overlook. Knowledgeable guides share rich stories, personal anecdotes, and keen observations while providing behind-the-scenes expertise of landscape architecture and city shaping.

The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) will produce an online What’s Out There San Diego guide, along with a printed guidebook that is available for purchase.

What’s Out There Weekend is an extension of the online What’s Out There database, a comprehensive resource with more than 2,000 sites, 11,000 images, and 1,100 designer profiles.

ASLA-San Diego is a generous sponsor of the weekend and the guidebook. It’s expected that over 1,000 people from the National ASLA Annual Meeting, concurrently taking place in San Diego, and the wider public will participate in tours.
