Mark Carpenter is the principal planner of KTUA’s federal planning team, where he leverages his 20+ years of federal, resource management, and GIS-analysis experience to ensure each project has a solid analytical foundation. Mark’s varied experience in GIS analysis, federal planning, watershed management planning, suitability modeling, site specific conceptual design and feasibility studies, mitigation/restoration planning, visual simulations; and construction documentation contributes to a well-rounded approach to planning and design issues at multiple scales. He is responsible for the scope development, cost estimation, client management, and quality control of all Federal planning projects.
Mark’s leadership and ability to integrate scientific understanding, technical expertise, and planning/design principals has allowed him to focus on planning and design projects aimed at balancing the management of resources with development needs. Throughout his carrer he had applied his craft to the benefit of a vast range of clients including non-governmental organizations, private corporations, local city and county departments, state agencies, and federal departments.
