The project consists of a comprehensive medical complex with a 340-bed main facility, ICU, ER, OB Department, Cancer Treatment Center and two Medical Office Buildings. Located along Temecula Parkway, the complex is nestled between a thriving commercial district and existing residential area. A large landscape buffer along the north edge of the site, which includes the continuation of a City-wide horse trail, provides screening and noise reduction between the complex and the neighboring residential areas. Small landscaped courtyards throughout the site serve as respite for both staff and users of the complex. Phasing of the project provides opportunity for a creatively evolving landscape, seamlessly blending landscape elements with each new building. The site utilizes many different methods to manage storm water and on-site run off, including rain gardens, detentions basins and bioswales, setting an example for future development in the area.
